Requirements differ by country
What an invoice must legally contain, whether you must register for a tax, which rate applies, how long records must be kept, what interest may be charged on a late payment and what protections apply to consumers all vary between jurisdictions, and change over time. Where a guide describes VAT, GST or sales tax, it describes the common pattern — not the rules that apply to you.
Before relying on anything here, check the current guidance from your own tax authority or speak to a qualified accountant.

The tool calculates from what you enter
The invoice creator performs arithmetic on the figures you type: line amounts, discounts, tax and totals, each rounded to two decimal places. It does not know which tax rate you should be charging, whether an item is exempt, or whether the customer’s details are correct. Check every document before you issue it.

Examples are illustrative
Rates, figures, invoice numbers, business names and worked examples in the guides are made up to illustrate a point. They are not benchmarks, recommended prices or real transactions.
