Free Invoice Software – Browser and Android, No Licence

Invoice software that does the arithmetic instead of leaving it to you — numbering, tax, totals and the PDF. Free in any browser on PC or Mac, free on Android, no per-invoice charge.

  • No signup or login
  • Instant PDF download
  • Processed in your browser
  • Free, with no invoice limit

Most people searching for invoice software are not shopping for an accounting platform. They want to stop rebuilding the same document in Word, stop getting the tax line wrong late at night, and stop emailing a file the customer could edit.

That is a narrow problem and it does not need a subscription. Here is what this does, what it deliberately does not do, and which version to use on which machine.

Which version

Browser or Android app

They produce identical PDFs. The difference is where the work happens.

Invoice software for PC, Mac and iPhone

Invoice software for PC

There is no Windows download and that is deliberate. The browser version does everything a desktop invoice program does, with nothing to install, update or license per machine — and it works on a work PC where installing software is not permitted. Open it, invoice, download the PDF.

Invoice software for Mac

The same answer. It runs in Safari, Chrome or Firefox on macOS with no installer and no compatibility list to check against your OS version. A browser-based invoice maker does not go stale when the machine updates.

Invoice app for iPhone and iPad

There is no iOS app — said plainly because the alternative is you downloading something that turns out not to exist. The web version works in Safari on iPhone and iPad, including the PDF download, so you can invoice from an iPhone. The native app is Android only.

Invoice app for Android

This is the real download. Offline invoicing, a saved document list, and quotations, receipts and waybills in the same app. See the Android app page.

What it actually does

The parts worth having

Everything here exists because doing it by hand goes wrong.

Totals that cannot drift

Line amounts, subtotal, discount and tax recalculate on every keystroke. The most common defect in a hand-built invoice is a total that stopped matching its lines after a late edit.

Numbering

A prefilled series so invoices do not collide or leave gaps. Gaps are the first thing an auditor asks about.

Tax handled properly

Named, rated and shown as its own amount — what a tax invoice requires almost everywhere once you are registered.

Your details, remembered

Entered once, reused on every later invoice in that browser or on that phone. This is the whole saving, repeated weekly.

Every currency

Pick it and the symbol follows the figures into the PDF. Useful when you bill across a border.

A PDF, not a document

The customer receives something they cannot edit and that prints the same everywhere.

What this is not

Worth saying plainly, so you do not adopt it and find a gap three months in. There is no customer database, no payment chasing or reminders, no online payment link, no bank reconciliation, no accounting ledger, no multi-user accounts, and no report on who has paid.

If you need those, you need an accounting package with a monthly fee, and you should buy one. If what you need is a correct, professional invoice produced in two minutes and sent as a PDF, that is what this does — and the absence of everything else is why it is free, why there is nothing to learn, and why it opens instantly.

Questions

Invoice software FAQ

Is there free invoice software?

Yes. This site is free invoice software that runs in the browser with nothing to install, and the Invoice & Quotation Generator Android app is a free download. Neither charges per invoice, watermarks the PDF or asks for a card. There is no paid tier to be nudged towards.

Is there invoice software for PC?

Use the web version. It runs in any desktop browser on Windows, macOS or Linux, which is why there is no separate PC download — nothing to keep updated, nothing to license per machine, and it works on a locked-down work computer where you could not install software anyway.

Is there an invoice app for iPhone?

There is no iOS app. The web version works in Safari on an iPhone or iPad, including the PDF download, so you can invoice from an iPhone without one. The native app is Android only.

What is the difference between invoice software and an invoice template?

A template is a file you retype. Software calculates. The difference shows up on the third invoice of the week: the software already has your details, numbers the document, works out tax and totals and produces the PDF, while the template needs all of that by hand every time.

Does the invoice software work offline?

The Android app does — invoices are created and stored on the phone. The web version needs to load once; after that the invoice itself is built in your browser, not on a server, and nothing you type is uploaded.

Is there invoicing and quotation software in one?

Yes, and that is the case for using the app rather than two separate tools: quotations, invoices, receipts and waybills in one place, so an accepted quotation becomes an invoice without retyping. See quote to invoice.
